Employers across Ireland are facing an important reporting deadline this November, with new requirements for submitting Gender Pay Gap information through the Government's centralised reporting portal.
The recently enacted Employment Equality and Institutional Burials (Amendment) Act 2026 provides the legislative basis for mandatory reporting through the Government's Gender Pay Gap Portal.
The changes affect employers with 50 or more employees, who are expected to submit their Gender Pay Gap information through the portal for the 2026 reporting cycle.
November 2026 Reporting Deadline
Employers must publish their Gender Pay Gap reports within five months of their selected June 2026 snapshot date, meaning deadlines fall throughout November.
For employers who selected 30 June 2026, the reporting deadline is 30 November 2026.
Importantly, submitting information through the Government portal does not replace the existing requirement to publish the report on the employer's website or otherwise make it publicly accessible.
The new reporting framework is intended to improve transparency and enable greater comparison of Gender Pay Gap information across organisations and sectors.
What Should Employers Do Now?
With the November deadline approaching, employers should ensure their reports are finalised, their Gender Pay Gap information is accurate and they are registered on the Government portal.
The portal is open for registration, although the commencement arrangements and detailed regulations governing mandatory submission are still being finalised.
